    DIY Ticket Stub Display

Hi Friendship, I’m plagued with a disease where I save numerous ticket stubs, but always shove them in a junk drawer and forget about them.  While re-organizing and purging unneeded things in my office I was met with the decision to trash all my ticket stubs or do something with them.  I opted to do something. I’m going to share the materials I got from Target (my first love) but really you could choose any sort of bulletin board, push pins, etc. What You’ll Need bulletin board [I got mine HERE] push pins [I got mine HERE] command strips [I got mine HERE] lots & lots of ticket stubs (you…

Where to Snack in Omaha, Nebraska

Hey friendship! If there’s one thing about me, I love dessert.  Whenever I say I’m “full” after dinner, that can be directly translated to, “but where are we getting ice cream after this?”  The thing I tell everyone when they say “what is there to do in Omaha?” is that the local food scene is bar none.  There are so many local eats and drinks, if you’re visiting, you shouldn’t be going to chain restaurants. You should indulge in all Omaha has to offer. I decided to write this up to detail my favorite places to go get a snack here, all locally owned, and undeniable delicious. Ted and Wally’s…

Brunch in Omaha – Le Peep

Hey friendship, Seems like it was just yesterday when it was July and I posted my first “Brunch in Omaha” with the false impression that I would have a new brunch post every month.  My 4 siblings and I decided to get together for brunch the first Sunday of every month because we felt like we were being bad siblings who didn’t talk to each other enough.  Surprisingly, we have kept this up, some months the crowd is lighter than other months or the timing isn’t quite “brunch” anymore.  Nonetheless, here starts this month’s edition of “Brunch in Omaha” with a trip to Le Peep. Le Peep – $$ Le…

    The Murals of St. Petersburg

Hey friendship! A few weeks ago, I took a trip to Florida to enjoy sunshine, the beach, and friendship.  My last post I documented my trip to the Wynwood Walls while I was in Miami.  However, most of my time was spent in the Clearwater Beach area. Before we even went to the Wynwood walls, we went and saw the murals in St. Petersburg, Florida.  I feel like Wynwood has a lot of hype around it and is killing the Instagram game, but the murals of St. Petersburg were a sight to see as well.  I felt like it held its own against that area, and was just as fun to run…

    Visiting the Wynwood Walls

Hey friendship! Last week, I spent in the weekend in Miami and on the top of my “to see” list was the Wynwood Walls.  I had been completely enamored with the idea of seeing them after looking through many Pinterest pins and top Instagram pictures. My overall impression was it definitely lived up to the hype.  It’s such a cool area, with art every which way you turn. Here’s how my day went.   Breakfast – The Salty Donut My sister has this tradition where she looks up “the best donut place” in whatever city she visits.  I have found myself doing the same.  The Salty Donut came up as…

    Taylor Swift LWYMMD DIY Costumes

Hey friendship! A couple weekends ago, I got the pleasure to see Taylor Swift live in concert for the second time. My favorite thing about artists that have some sort of a cult following, is the costumes at the concert are so fun and insane. This time around I wanted to join in on the fun. My sister and I had a craft night the night before the concert (because procrastination – amiright?) and here’s what we did. Inspiration We wanted to stick on theme with Reputation so our inspiration came from the Look What You Made Me Do video.  The goals were to recreate Rep Taylor Swift and Gucci…

    Visiting the Sunflower Fields

Hey friendship! Awhile back, I wrote a blog post that detailed items on my bucket list.  This weekend, I took a trip to Kansas City and got to cross one off!  I visited a sunflower field in Lawrence Kansas located at Grinter’s Farm. Feast your eyes on this bright yellow, happy mini paradise stretching across the horizon. I researched the most ideal time to go was the second week of September, which lined up perfect with my Taylor Swift concert.  I kept checking at the location on Instagram [insert shameless plz follow me request here] to see if the sunflowers were blooming yet under “Most Recent” posts.  The farm is…

    How to Throw a Luau

Hey friendship! With summer coming to an end, it was time to have one last hurrah in the sun before we start settling for cooler fall weather. We threw a luau.  The theme of the night was “You had me at aloha.” You can find my general Pinterest inspo board HERE for more luau ideas.  We didn’t incorporate everything on the board, but you’ll see a majority of the ideas came from there. The Decorations       First and foremost – our guests were greeted with a place to grab leis for the night that you can find HERE.  I don’t know about you, but I’d say avoid those…

How to Spend 36 Hours in St. Louis

Hey friendship! This past weekend, we took a quick trip to St. Louis to celebrate our three year anniversary.  We wanted a city close enough to drive, but far enough away not to feel like home.  So we picked St. Louis, the Gateway city.  It’s one of the bigger Midwest cities, but it still has that undeniable Midwest charm.  We only had 36 hours of activity available, so we tried to make it as jam packed as we could. Day One   Breakfast – SqWires I got the french toast, which was fluffy as french toast should be.  Also the bacon was made the perfection – I really hate when…

    Build Your Own Pizza Bar

Hey friendship! Last summer I spur of the moment bought a clay pizza oven.  No idea how to work it, just wanted saw a beautiful section in World Market dedicated to all things pizza oven and it won me over.  Talk about consumerism.  Anyways, I busted it out for the first time this summer and built a pizza bar to go with it.  It was simple, easy, and relatively cheap to put together. Set-up I set it up in step by step order to make it look like much effort was put in, when in reality, it wasn’t much.  I bought brown packaging roll paper – similar to what is linked…
